A softer corner
of the internet.
A letter can hold a lot. Let’s take care of the people who read them.
Write with kindness
Love, gratitude, heartbreak, and uncertainty all belong here. Threats, harassment, hate, impersonation, explicit sexual content, and spam don’t. Don’t use letters to pressure or repeatedly contact someone who doesn’t want contact.
Public means public
Every letter appears in the global feed and can be read and shared by anyone. Adding a recipient email only sends a notification; it never makes your letter private. Avoid posting full names, email addresses, phone numbers, locations, or other identifying details in the letter itself.
No accounts. Thoughtful privacy.
We don’t ask for a sender email or name. Your writing may still identify you. A random browser cookie remembers your reactions. We hash network identifiers for short-lived abuse limits; the hosting provider may retain connection logs. Anonymous here means your identity is not displayed with the letter, rather than a guarantee of being untraceable.
Email is a gentle nudge
If you enter someone’s email, we send a link through Resend. Recipient addresses never appear in the feed. They are encrypted while awaiting delivery and removed from the delivery record after success. A hashed address is kept to enforce recipient limits and opt-out choices. Every email includes an option to stop all future Confish notifications.
Your draft is yours
The recipient name, message, mood, and paper color are saved in this browser’s local storage until publication. The email field is not saved in your draft. Use a private browser on a shared device.
If something doesn’t belong
Open a letter and choose “Report letter.” Reports are saved for the site operator to review. A report does not automatically remove a letter. Letters can be hidden by the operator when they violate these guidelines.
A little courage. A little kindness. That’s all we ask.
